It was days like this, when it would be easier not to get up and go to Bootcamp,I thought about the goals I had set for myself and recalled a comment that our Bootcamp instructor, Steve, had made a few months back, "Everyone wants sexy abs, but no one wants to do the work".
I have the feeling that I definitely got more energy on the days I work out. I was exhausted last Sunday after a all day working outside and fall asleep at 8pm! But this morning we had our bootcamp, we suffer as usual (the squats series killed me!) but I feel good so far, better than the past 3 days. Getting addicted!
All of us are here for different reasons and different goals, but I suspect what unites us is the desire to try to be the best we can be. (My apologies to the US Army, it was a good line and I had to use it). All of us were back on Thursday for more punishment from Steve who smiles more than Jon, but is an equally strict taskmaster.
Dare I say it? I really enjoyed this morning’s session. It’s hot out there, but somehow while we were doing the endless crunches and lying down on public park ground (no doubt where either a 2-legged or 4 legged spat, peed or pood before), I looked up at the clear blue skies (seldom seen in Shanghai) and am so thankful I’m alive!
